It's a MAJOR thing....

It has been awhile since I have blogged, and there has been a lot that has been going on in our family lately:)

I finished my two classes;Psychology and Theology(Introduction to Christian Thought) and I got A's in both of them! I enjoyed both of the classes and was sad when they were over! I just started on Monday with my Spring D intensive class and I am taking Sociology. I decided to just take one this intensive semester since it will be Spring Break for the kids and school will be ending soon for the kids, thus making for a lot of happenings at both of their schools.

The Hubby also finished two more classes and is also taking another one....he of course is working on his Seminary. We have definately decided to retire, so we only have a little over 3 years left. We have faith that God will place us where He wants us to be if we have to move one more time and that that place will be where we can buy a home and retire at, and in the future this will be a place where the Hubby will be seeking a job at as a Pastor.

The Princess is doing well and started fast pitch softball last week. She loves softball! And I have to admit that she is a natural at it! She can play any position. Last year she was pitcher for her team, although her favorite position is short-stop. This year looks like she will be pitching again! But she will also get to play short-stop as well. Can't wait til the games start! I love watching her! Today she is at the Honor Band Competition. Praying that they place! She really enjoys playing her flute. She got her report card yesterday and did very very well......I am a proud Mom!

The Bookworm has been very busy as well. He is in the Archery Club at school and he is going to the State Archery Competition tomorrow...wish him luck! He has also been very busy with his Science experiment and he was invited to take it to the SC State Competition last Friday. Although he did not place there, it was still an honor just to be able to go. He received his report card yesterday and he made all A's! He was very proud! Despite the fact that he was re-diagnoised with asthma 3 weeks ago, he has been doing exceptionally well, and praise God that his asthma is finally under control!

So, this morning was a good morning, I got a call from the Hubby at around 7:30 saying that he made the MAJOR list! We were both doing the happy dance! I am very proud of him, he deserves it. What does this mean for us: Who knows? I'm sure it'll mean a MAJOR change in some way.....but we're up for the challenge, what ever the future holds we hold our faith and trust in Christ!

Welcome Back to SC

This is what the Bookworm's Pediatrician said yesterday when I took him in because his cough has still be lingering. Yep, asthma.....again! When he was 2 he was diagnoised with asthma, then when we moved to Europe 7 years ago, it went away. I swear the air is much much much cleaner in Germany and Italy. The Bookworm's Doctor was there before too, and she swears that it is too. Anyway, now that we have been back for alittle over a year, it is all of a sudden back:( Not a good thing.

It all started in January when we took him to the Doctor and he had a sinus infection, come to find out he also had bronchitis too. Then a month later he got whooping cough, and yet three weeks later, he still has a cough, not as bad, but still a cough. Looks like all of this time he has been having severe asthma attacks!!! Can you say oh my goodnes! The poor poor Bookworm! I felt so bad when the Doctor told us this yesterday. So, she gave him a breathing treatment in the office, and after he took it, he said that he could breathe soooooooo much better. Praise the Lord for modern day medicine! So, he is now on allergy medicine, flovent inhaler and an albuteral inhaler. We go back on Monday for a follow-up and to get an inhaler so that he can keep it in his pocket in case he needs it at school.

Just one day's time and I can already tell that his cough has decreased A LOT! Now the next step is buying him a new bed and doing away with his bunk bed, a bunk bed is no good for an asthmatic. Of course the problem with this is that the Princess will be wanting a new bed too! JOY:)

It's Been Awhile

It's been awhile since I have blogged, but unfortunately it has been crazy around here lately!

First I had my surgery(lump found and removed from breast), then the Bookworm got Whooping Cough, then the Hubby got an acute sinus infection.....then top school on top of all of that and I have been one busy chick! So all is well in the household now, and I am on my last week of school......hard to believe, where did that past 8 weeks go?! One final paper due for Psychology and one final examination for Theology(Introdo. to Christian Thought), all due by Friday and I am done. So far A's in both....praying that I can maintain them til the end!

The Hubby has been quite busy lately with his new Lt's at the Finance School. He had to work Saturday, his students had to play in the woods finding their points with their compasses all day. Praise the Lord that none of his students got lost, and that they all found their points and all had go's on the first time! Yippee!!

The Princess is still busting away with the books at school and has Honor Band practice after school two days a week, yes, one just happens to be on Wednesdays, I dislike it when things fall on Wednesdays. She has softball try-outs this Wednesday afternoon, she is going to play for the Rec. Dept. again this year, but she'll be doing fast-pitch. Can't wait to watch some softball games, I love seeing her play!

The Bookworm is still the Bookworm. He is waiting for his favorite Books, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series to hit the big screen soon, he is looking forward to seeing the movie when it comes out. He can read those books over and over and over! He gets loving to read from me, because the Hubby absolutely dislikes to read! The Bookworm is still in the Archery Club at school, and he loves it, he just found out that he is going to the State Championship, so he is excited! He and his Science Project will be going to the State Science Fair in 2 weeks at USC, he is very proud!

Me, I am still domestic godess of the home, chef, taxi driver, maid, butler, tutor, wife and mama:) But I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hoping your Monday is Mad just like mine with laundry to do and errands to run!
