Prom 2012

The Princess and her Boyfriend went to the Prom this past Saturday. It was a special evening for both of them, they were so excited. They are cute together and her Boyfriend is very nice, sweet, respectful and well-mannered. We love him and his family. A added bonus, who can say that they live across the street from their boyfriend!

It was a lot of fun spending time with the Princess and getting her a mani and pedi, and her hair and make up done. Of course her one upset was that Daddy was not going to be here. Skype, we love you! We had the Major on Skype from the time her Boyfriend walked over to get her til the time they drove away in the car. It was so awesome that he was able to still share the evening with us even though he wasn't physially present with us.

What's next for us with the Princess, her turning Sweet 16 in July....It's hard to believe that our little girl that was born with a heart defect, had surgery when she was 18 months old, has lived half her life in Europe, has a very tender heart, has an I can attitude and has a joyful and sweet soul, will be 16 in less than 3 months.

We are enjoying this Season of Life with our Two Teens. As we watch them grow into a young lady and a young man, we are proud to call them ours.

Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven."

Saved by Grace because HE is Risen

Despite the fact that the Major is Deployed, the two teens and I had a wonderful Easter Sunday and the day ended with us being able to Skype with the Major, it's very rare that all four of us get to sit down as a family and Skype so it was extra special!

We did our tradition of taking pictures in our Easter outfits before we left for Sunday School on Sunday. It felt strange not having the Major with us.

I enjoyed teaching my Middle Sunday School Class, we discussed the proofs of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. What a mightly God we have! Church was great and it was nice sitting with the two teens and worshiping together. It felt strange sitting there thinking that while we are basically starting our day, the Major was getting ready to end his. It will be so wonderful when he is home with us again and I am so thankful that our time in the Military is starting to really tick away, next year this time the retirement paperwork will have been dropped off and we will be getting ready to transition into a new chapter and season of our life.

Of course no Easter is complete without the hunting and finding of those beautiful dyed eggs. I was the only hider this year and although I thought that I hid the eggs pretty easy, the two teens thought differently. They had a fun time finding the eggs and for the first time in years, all the eggs were found!

It was a blessed and wonderful Easter and for those reading I leave you with this: "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Friends, Christ loves you so much, if you've never trusted Him as your personal Savior, I encourage you to do so today. Hell is not a place where you want to spend eternity when you can spend it in the splendor of Heaven!
